Deeply rooted in the rich traditions of the Andes mountains, the Hatun Karpay is a sacred rite of initiation. These three initiations form the foundation: they open the gate to your own soul. The Q'ero believe that we are all born with a seed in our hearts. The initiations allow this seed to sprout, so we can grow into our true selves.
Originally, the paqos only gave these initiations to students devoted to the path of the Incas. Today, you don't need to become a shaman to receive the initiations.

Munay Karpay
The initiation of love. It opens the energetic heart—the 5th chamber of the heart. It activates and unlocks the temples within this chamber: the temple of joy, humility, sweetness, gratitude, harmony, fear, anger, sadness, and wisdom.
Yachay Karpay
The initiation of wisdom. It opens the third eye and aligns the wisdom of your inner universe with that of the outer universe. It brings insight and clarity, awakening the wisdom within you and illuminating your path.
Llank'ay Karpay
The initiation of your soul's path. It helps you find your way and sheds light on your life's mission. It gives you the power to take action and manifest, stimulates creativity, and places your soul at the helm. It brings you to your destination.
